Position: Public Health Coordinator Role Northern Zone
Join Nova Scotia Health as a Public Health Coordinator in the Northern Zone, driving community engagement and health promotion initiatives. This full-time role focuses on collaborative health planning.

In this position, you will support Community Health Boards to fulfill their objectives as mandated by the Health Authorities Act. You will assist in organizational development, volunteer support, and facilitation of processes that engage the community in health initiatives through a population health lens.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate collaborative community health planning cycles

• Provide support for Board recruitment and volunteer training

• Assist in implementing health promotion principles

• Enable organizational development for health boards

• Follow guidelines outlined in the provincial CHB Operations Manual

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant health field

• 2 years of applicable experience required

• Certification in Public Participation is an asset

• Skills in community engagement and program evaluation

• Excellent organizational and facilitation abilities
