As an Intake Officer, you will provide essential advocacy services, communicating with youth and families to empower them through self-advocacy strategies. You will collaborate with community organizations to ensure effective outreach and public education efforts.
Your role is critical in supporting children and youth in navigating public systems and accessing necessary services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and prioritize requests for advocacy services
• Assess eligibility using alternative dispute resolution strategies
• Develop relationships with community-based organizations
• Communicate with children and families regarding designated services
• Respond to inquiries about child death and serious injury programs
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary degree in social work or related field
• Registration or eligibility for registration as a Social Worker
• Knowledge of child and youth-serving public systems
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Valid Manitoba Driver’s License and travel ability
Support vulnerable children and youth as an Intake Officer, promoting their rights and access to services.
