Position: Mentorship for Housing Stability
Support young adults with housing needs as a Housing Mentor at The Link. This position focuses on building relationships and providing essential resources for participants 18-30 years old.

The Link is hiring a Housing Mentor who will actively engage with participants facing housing challenges. You will work within a collaborative team to create individualized support frameworks for those aged 18-30. Key tasks include facilitating access to housing resources, mediating participant-landlord relationships, and encouraging goal achievement through a trauma-informed approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build trusting relationships with program participants

• Assist in understanding tenancy rights and responsibilities

• Mediate issues between participants and their landlords

• Guide participants in achieving personal goals and needs

• Document all relevant participant interactions and incidents

Requirements:

• Relevant education or life experience in social services

• Familiarity with Indigenous cultural issues

• Knowledge of community resources for homelessness and health

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Emergency First Aid and CPR certification preferred
