Description:
Supports the coating operations by monitoring chemical levels in pre-wash and e-coat tanks, adjusting chemicals as required, conducting titrations, changing filters, starting up, or closing down system, and entering data into the computer. This is a hands-on position.
Qualifications:
Experience working with chemicals in a lab environment. Experience working with mechanical equipment, computers (specifically Microsoft Suites) and common lab equipment. Ability to bend, stoop and move material(s) for measurement and system adjustments. Ability to stand and walk 7+ hours per day (not a sit-down position). Ability to climb fixed 12' ladder to check on pumps and filters above wash stations.
Ability to pass a medical clearance test to wear a PAPR (air supplied) helmet, and Pulmonary Function Test to wear a half-piece respirator. Ability to understand written directions. Ability to cover a shift if needed (work 12 hours instead of
8).
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED required. Technical degree and/or 2-3 years experience preferred, preferably in a manufacturing, laboratory, waste water related field.
