MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Full‑time, permanent position. Salary: £39,462 per year. Redheugh House, Thornaby, Stockton on Tees. Job reference: 791.

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑driven Management Accountant to support the effective and efficient operation of our financial function. This key role within the Finance Team provides accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis and insight across all venues and service areas.

• Coordinating monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and full month‑end support.
• Working closely with budget holders to review performance and strengthen financial control.
• Supporting preparation of annual accounts, year‑end audit information and compliance activities.
• Producing ad‑hoc financial reports, forecasts and performance analysis for the Leadership team.
• Preparing annual budgets, periodic outturns and assisting with medium‑term financial planning.
• Reconciling payroll and preparing payments to HMRC and pension providers.
• Maintaining The Fixed Asset registers and supporting capitalisation, depreciation and VAT returns.
• Contributing to cash‑flow projections, bank reconciliations and financial systems administration.
• Providing financial training and guidance to colleagues across the business.

You will be an organised, proactive Finance professional with a strong eye for detail. You will be qualified or part‑qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW) with at least two years’ management accounts experience and demonstrable analytical, communication and IT skills (including advanced Excel). You will have full, valid driving licence and access to a car. The post is subject to a satisfactory standard DBS check.
