SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
- Project Manager for heavylift and transport project

- Based at the Mammoet offices at Thornaby, Teesside
As Project Manager, you would be responsible for managing all aspects of a project by means of people, contract, risk management, project preparation, execution and project controlling all in line with applicable internal standards, procedures, systems and local legislation in order to ensure the project is executed and the deliverables are met in line with the agreed contract requirements. As part of the role you will be expected to travel to project sites across the UK.
Reporting into the Head of Projects, this is a full time, permanent position based at our Teesside office with regular travel required to project sites around the UK and occasionally overseas.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING- Contract Management
- Assess and study the agreed contract of both customers and (sub) contractors. - Project Planning
- Prepare the execution plan, initiate and manage both internal and external processes by setting up the project organisation in line with internal standards. - Operations
- Manage and direct operations in line with the Project Management Planning and agreed contract. - SHE-Q
- Ensure operation executions are in compliance with SHE-Q standards and proecedures, and lead by example in regard to safety awareness. - People Management
- Manage, motivate and support both operational field and office employees with the provided management tools and guidelines. - Project Control
- Monitor all project related financial processes, and take action to indentify potential risk areas in line with financial and risk management guidelines. - Reporting
- Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad-hoc reports and analyses in line with the reporting requirements.
- Project Management, expert level (project preparation, quality, project structures, planning, risk management, contracts, costs & finance, practice interviews, project execution, leadership, teamwork & communication, conflicts & negotiations)
- English, fluent proficiency verbal and written
- Project Management Qualification
- Evidence of experience in a similar role, ideally in any/some of the following sectors:
Civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports, mining - Qualified to degree level in technical or operations related discipline
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis when required, on occasion at short notice
