TIG Welder

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder with proven experience in high-quality pipe welding, specifically using autogenous root techniques on J-prep joints. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing precision welds on stainless steel and/or exotic alloy pipework used in demanding industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-precision TIG welding on pipework using autogenous root welding methods (J-prep).

• Fit, align, and prepare pipe joints to exact specifications.

• Produce clean, consistent root passes with strict adherence to welding procedures.

• Weld to coded/PWPS standards where applicable.

• Read and interpret isometric drawings, weld maps, and technical documents.

• Inspect own welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.

• Work closely with supervisors and QA to ensure all work meets project specifications.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in TIG welding on pipework

• Strong understanding of pipe preparation, fit-up, and welding sequence.

• Ability to weld stainless steel; experience with nickel alloys or duplex is a bonus.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering/isometric drawings.

• Current TIG welding certifications or the ability to test on-site.

• Strong commitment to quality, consistency, and safety.

• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
