The Company:

Our client is an established precision engineering manufacturer producing high-quality components for customers operating within demanding and highly regulated industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Quality Inspector to support their manufacturing operation in Stockton-on-Tees.

Working Hours:

The Quality Inspector will work a rotating three-shift pattern:

  • Earlies: 07:00–15:00
  • Lates: 15:00–23:00
  • Nights: 23:00–07:00

Job Description:

As a Quality Inspector, you will inspect precision-engineered parts and components, ensuring they meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Inspecting products and components against technical drawings and customer requirements
  • Ensuring work is completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Clearly identifying, recording and quantifying completed work
  • Supporting the production and assembly of precision-engineered components
  • Identifying and reporting concerns relating to components, products, equipment or facilities
  • Minimising and reporting scrap generated during allocated operations
  • Maintaining accurate product identification throughout the manufacturing process
  • Keeping your workstation clean, organised and safe
  • Working responsibly and wearing the appropriate PPE
  • Completing other reasonable duties requested by the Team Leader or Manager
Skills & experience:

The successful Quality Inspector should have:

  • Previous inspection, quality or precision manufacturing experience
  • The ability to understand customer drawings relating to manufactured components
  • Good attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good manual dexterity, as the role involves handling very small components
  • The ability to remain focused while completing repetitive inspection work
  • A willingness to work rotating shifts
  • A safety-conscious and responsible approach
