Supervising Social Worker

We are looking for a part‑time Supervising Social Worker to join our Fostering service in Thornaby. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our foster carers and improving outcomes for children and young people.

As a Supervising Social Worker, you will provide essential support and supervision to foster carers, ensuring high‑quality care for children within a service committed to achieving positive outcomes.

• Support foster carers with a manageable caseload, ensuring high levels of supervision and intervention.
• Work within a trauma‑informed practice model, offering therapeutic support and guidance.
• Complete Form F assessments and contribute to care planning and strategy meetings.
• Participate in recruitment activities to attract and assess new foster carers.
• Provide out‑of‑hours support on a rota basis.

• Formal Social Work Qualification.
• Valid Driving Licence and Right to Work in the UK.
• Strong written, IT, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
• Experience in fostering (desirable) or a strong passion to make a difference.

  Thornaby office
• Working pattern: 3 days per week (22.5 hours total)
