What Is the Apprenticeship?This Government‑approved Level 2 Nuclear Health Physics Monitor Apprenticeship provides a solid foundation in the nuclear industry with a focus on radiation protection and contamination control.
Program includes:
- Block release studying at MTC Training – Oxfordshire Advanced Skills Culham Campus
- On‑the‑job experience at your allocated NRS site
- Mentoring from experienced Health Physics professionals
- Training in real‑world nuclear environments where safety is paramount
NRS Oldbury Site, Oldbury Naite, Oldbury‑upon‑Severn, BS35 1RQ
Working HoursMonday to Thursday, 07:25 – 17:00 (37 hours/week) with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch.

We're looking for motivated individuals with a passion for science and safety.
Must:
- Be 18 or older by 3rd August 2026
- Have 5 GCSEs (grades 9–3 / A–D) including Maths and Science
We're also looking for:

- ✅ A meticulous and detail‑focused mindset
- ✅ Strong problem‑solving skills
- ✅ Good communication and teamwork abilities
- ✅ A willingness to learn in a technical environment
💷 Salary:
Starting at £19,927 per year — with pay increases as you progress
