Position: Supported Housing Officer
Location: Rudgeway

Elim Housing, part of Places for People, is looking for a passionate and dedicated Supported Housing Officer to join our team in South Gloucestershire. If you're committed to helping people overcome barriers, sustain tenancies and move towards independent living, we'd love to hear from you

About the Role

As a Supported Housing Officer, you'll provide psychologically informed housing and support services to adults at risk of homelessness living within our supported accommodation services in South Gloucestershire. You'll work closely with residents to help them develop the confidence, skills and resilience needed to sustain their tenancies and move on to independent living

What You'll Be Doing
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with residents.
  • Delivering person-centred support plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Assessing support needs and managing risk appropriately.
  • Supporting residents with housing, welfare benefits, budgeting and tenancy sustainment.
  • Encouraging engagement in education, training and employment opportunities.
  • Working in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies to improve outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service performance targets.
  • Promoting safeguarding, equality, inclusion and resident empowerment.
What We're Looking For

We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults in housing, homelessness or support services.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and tenancy sustainment.
  • An understanding of homelessness and the barriers people face.
  • Strong communication, engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively with partner agencies.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using case management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based and psychologically informed approaches.
