Teaching Assistant (SEN - Challenging Behaviour) - Immediate Start
Location:
Thorne, South Yorkshire
Role:
Primary SEN Teaching Assistant (Term-Time, Temporary, at least 6 week assignment)
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Rate: £95 - £120 per day (inclusive of holiday pay)

Are you a resilient and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant with experience in managing challenging behaviour?
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in South Yorkshire.
Your focus will be on de-escalation, building trust, and implementing structured strategies to support positive engagement and learning.
Responsibilities- Assist with de-escalation and behaviour management for pupils with SEN, particularly those displaying challenging behaviour.
- Support positive engagement and learning through structured strategies and personalised support.
- Build trust with pupils to foster a calm, safe, and consistent classroom environment.
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Proven experience supporting children with SEN, particularly challenging behaviour, in a school or similar setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies, de-escalation techniques, and support for ASD/SEMH.
- A calm, consistent and resilient approach, with the ability to build trust and encourage positive behaviour.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply quickly).
