Role DescriptionThis full‑time Automotive Licensed Technician role is an on‑site position based at BMW Autohaus in Thornhill. The technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining BMW vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and dealership procedures. Daily tasks include performing routine services, inspections, and warranty work, using diagnostic tools and software to identify mechanical and electrical issues, and documenting all work performed accurately.
The role involves collaborating with service advisors, following safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring timely completion of repairs to support exceptional customer satisfaction. The technician is expected to stay current with BMW technical training and evolving vehicle technologies
- Valid Automotive Service Technician license and in good standing with applicable provincial regulatory body.
- Proficiency in vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and electrical troubleshooting using modern tools and equipment.
- Experience with OEM service procedures, preferably with BMW or other premium automotive brands.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and ability to follow safety and quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with service advisors and team members.
- Comfort with computer‑based diagnostic systems and service management software.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced shop environment, manage time efficiently, and prioritize multiple repair orders.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Completion of relevant automotive apprenticeship and/or post‑secondary technical program.
- Ongoing commitment to training and professional development; BMW brand training or experience is an asset.
