Teacher Active is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream school in Cardiff that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support pupils within their ASD base. The school is committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every child is valued and encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

The school is looking to take on a full-time Teaching Assistant from September. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils with Autism / ASD, helping them to access learning, manage routines and develop positive relationships whilst working closely with teaching staff to provide a consistent and nurturing learning environment.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children and young people with Autism / ASD

• Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• The ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils

• A calm and patient approach when working under pressure

• A flexible and positive attitude
