Classified Substitute

Job Summary

Works in various classified positions on a temporary, as‑needed basis. There is no set number of hours or days guaranteed as a substitute. Substitutes are called only while Adams 12 Five Star Schools is in session.

• Paraprofessionals for Special Education and Special Programs
• Campus Security/Operations
• Student Monitor (Lunchroom/Recess)
• Media Clerk
• Paraprofessionals for Classroom and Preschool instruction

Pay ranges from $17.86 per hour for Classroom Assistant, Student Monitor, and Campus Security assignments to $20.69 per hour for Campus Security/Operations. Paraeducators for Special Education Instruction earn $19.47 per hour, and Paraeducators for Special Programs earn $20.27 per hour.

• Takes and passes a district physical.
• No Colorado Department of Education teaching or substitute license is required.
• Substitutes cannot be hired as both a Certified Substitute Teacher and a Classified Substitute Paraprofessional.
