Senior Code Enforcement Inspector – Commerce City
City of Commerce City is seeking an experienced professional to oversee complex code‑enforcement inspections, lead challenging investigations, mentor inspectors, refine processes, and serve as a trusted leader when needed. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about maintaining community standards and driving operational excellence.
General PurposeAssist in coordinating daily code‑enforcement operations, handle difficult and complex inspections and investigations, provide training and support to inspectors, and step in as a lead or supervisor in the absence of the Code Enforcement Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Lead challenging inspection and investigative cases.
- Mentor and train Code Enforcement Inspectors.
- Develop and refine enforcement processes.
- Act as a lead or supervisor as required.
- Two years of college plus two years of Code Enforcement experience, or a high school diploma/Rifle G.E.D. plus four years of Code Enforcement experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, to be maintained throughout employment.
- Valid Code Enforcement Certification (preferable CACEO); ability to obtain advanced certification within two years.
Hiring Range: $64,848.06 – $72,053.40.
