Pre admission Testing Medical Assistant

The Pre admission Testing Medical Assistant will work under supervision with oversight from a registered nurse. Additional responsibilities as designated by the Director of Nursing and Administrator.

• Perform front and back-office duties.
• Assist medical providers and maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice policies and procedure.
• Be a great communicator dealing tactfully and professionally with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• Operate telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, and identifying the nature of business.
• Perform clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies and maintaining postage meter.
• Assist with chart preparation and scanning.
• Assist with Admissions.
• Check in pre‑op patients.
• Copy identification and insurance information.
• Communicate with Pre‑Op nursing staff.
• Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively present information to patients, physicians, and other employees of the surgery center.
• Basic math skills.
• MA certification (Medical Assistant).

Potential for extended periods of sitting and answering phone calls; reasonable accommodations may be provided.

$25–$32 per hour.
