IT Support Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global's local government is looking to bring an IT Support Specialist onto their staff due to an increased workload.

Responsibilities:
- Provide support to customers, technical staff, and IT Management.
- Coordinate and supervise complex administrative support functions such as software maintenance, license renewals and payment.
- Maintain a database of all software licenses, license types, number of licenses and monitors compliance with license agreements.
- Generate work requests as needed. Initiates and tracks P-Card technology purchases for departments.
- Gather appropriate approval authorizations and generate Purchase Orders (POs) to initiate technology purchase for all departments. Track PO approvals through financial management system.
- Enters and tracks purchase requisitions and purchase orders, tracks and reports open orders, prepares invoices for receipting, and ensures that procurement is completed in compliance with established City policies.
- Procure computer software, equipment, and services.
- Monitors technology deliveries, secures equipment and notifies appropriate IT staff members for delivery and installation.
- Create installation work orders for purchased products.
- Assist with creation, input, and monthly reporting for management of the IT Budget.
- Respond to requests for information and assistance from other departments. Respond to requests for information or routes requests to appropriate party.
- Research, compiles, and analyzes data for special projects or reports.
