Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes (multi‑spindle, multi‑axis)
- Set up and operate up to two lathe machines in a cell
- Run production to calculated standards
- Perform in‑process inspections on machined parts
- Read engineering drawings
- Problem‑solve CNC machining or tooling issues
- Collaborate with the Engineering Team regarding programming difficulties or corrections to maintain high quality
- Ability to set up and operate CNC lathes (multi‑spindle, multi‑axis)
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and ability to read engineering drawings
- Ability to use various measuring equipment, including hand‑held gauges and advanced measuring devices
- Strong math and mechanical skills
- Ability to read and follow work instructions in a controlled production environment
- Good computer skills
- Discipline to provide consistent and precise work
- Familiarity with quality control systems/software
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with others
- Ability to manage multiple demands in a professional manner
- Must be able to work safely and wear appropriate PPE while working
- Prefer experience with multiple types of controls
- Knowledge of robotics is helpful
- Knowledge of CMMs helpful
- Willingness to learn multiple machine cells
- Must be able to work safely and wear appropriate PPE while working
- Must be able to lift, pull, push or apply force up to 60 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stooping, pulling, and twisting may be required
- Extended periods of standing or walking frequently required
- Must have constant free mobility of hands, wrists, and arms; some physical or mechanical dexterity required
- Must be able to pass company‑paid vision and hearing tests
- Work schedule is 4‑10s, Monday through Thursday
- Second shift hours Monday‑Thursday 4:15 p.m. – 2:45 a.m.
- OT offered on Friday and Saturdays depending on workload and customer demand
- CNC Machinist work is conducted on the production floor around large CNC machines
- Our shop is temperature‑controlled and clean
Starting hourly rate: $25.00 – $32.00 (plus 10% shift differential)
