Registered Nurse NICU II

Overview

Registered Nurse NICU II at North Suburban Medical Center. This role involves providing nursing care in the NICU for low risk and high risk infants, stabilizing and caring for infants across gestational ages, and following organizational policies and the NRP guidelines for deliveries as needed.

Our nurses are part of a collaborative, family-oriented team within HCA Health

ONE Mountain Ridge. The NICU RN supports patient care with a focus on safety, compassion, integrity, connection, communication and commitment.

• Deliver care based on age-appropriate criteria that consider physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety and learning needs.
• Optimize quality of life by addressing the needs of the whole person beyond traditional medical care.
• Care for premature and ill newborn patients meeting NICU admission criteria.
• Oversee and direct the care of auxiliary personnel, maintaining accountability for the care provided to assigned patients.
• Serve as the primary nurse leading collaboration across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Attend low and high risk deliveries when needed following NRP guidelines.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate RN license.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• NRP and STABLE certifications (or eligible).
• 1+ year of acute care nursing experience.
