Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with both labor and postpartum experience required.
Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery department

• Unit has 14 LDRPs and 2 Operating Rooms

• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2 for Labor & Delivery and 3:1 for Postpartum according to AWHONN guidelines

• Uses Beacon equipment and EMRs CPN and Meditech

• Night shift position with hours from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am

• Unit performs versions, C-sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and D&Cs

• Team includes charge RNs, L&D RNs, postpartum RNs, CNAs, and sitters

• Flexible, adaptable, and professional demeanor is strongly preferred

• Documentation required includes a complete application, skills checklist, references, state license verification, NURSYS verification, and copies of relevant certifications

• Unit policies and guidelines will be reviewed during orientation
Requirements

• Active RN license required

• Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience

• Postpartum experience required

• LDRP experience preferred

• AHA or ARC-approved certifications required, with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment

• U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
