Overview

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team!

$18.00 to $21.00 per hour
. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.29 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The associate thrives on engaging with customers and assists with inquiries and problem resolution.

The role involves working with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in Federal Firearms License locations) and more.

The Full-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers and supports a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training and performs other related duties as needed.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Ability to work outdoors or in exterior areas when required.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform basic math.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• May be required to work at multiple locations based on business needs.
• Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal gross profit. Applicants will receive more details during the interview process.
