Since 2006, Security Surveillance System has specialized in commercial security cameras, wireless surveillance, access control systems, intercoms, and burglar alarms. We are currently seeking a senior-level, highly experienced Access Control Technician to join our growing team.
Position OverviewThis role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can independently manage access control projects from start to finish, maintain high technical standards, and deliver excellent customer service.
TechnicianDuties & Responsibilities
- Install, service, and upgrade access control and intercom systems in residential and commercial environments
- Manage installations from start to finish, including system programming, testing, and commissioning
- Program and test access control systems to ensure proper functionality and reliability
- Provide customer training on system use and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and implement customized access control solutions
- Operate company vehicles and jobsite equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, etc.)
- Deliver flawless service and professional workmanship on every project
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with access control and intercom systems
- Experience with 2N intercom systems strongly preferred
- Experience with Brivo and ICT access control systems is highly preferred
- Proven ability to complete installations independently from start to finish, including programming
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physically capable of:
- Carrying a 20-ft ladder
- Lifting up to 35 lbs
- Operating scissor lifts and boom lifts
- Experience with IP-based camera systems and burglar alarm systems (preferred)
- Networking experience configuring:
- Routers, switches, modems
- Wireless access points
- Network switches and NVRs (preferred)
- Experience installing, servicing, and upgrading DVR/NVR hardware, software, and firmware (preferred)
