Overview

Senior Software Engineer to join Speechify’s Core Experiences Team. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. It’s a role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product and infrastructure, thinks strategically, and designs clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that enhance the user experience.

• Collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, reduce scope for faster customer feedback, navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across product teams, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDK
• Optimize existing functionality to enable faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing efficient abstractions and improving algorithms
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin

• Systems thinking: understand end-to-end design and value simplicity
• Speed: generate ideas quickly and decide what can ship now vs. what requires more time
• Focus: work effectively in a high-growth, remote team

  ability to inspire, collaborate with designers, marketers, and PMs
• Preferred Tech Stack:
• Kotlin Multiplatform (Java experience acceptable but role focuses on Kotlin Multiplatform)
• Prior experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus
