Undergraduate Co‑op – Videographer
We are looking for an undergraduate student with a passion for video storytelling to join our Corporate Communications team as a Videographer Co‑op
. You will help create dynamic and engaging video content that showcases Amgen’s headquarters and manufacturing operations in Thousand Oaks, California. The role is part‑time for 3‑4 months, hybrid on campus 2–3 days per week.
- Gain practical experience in video production and storytelling within a global biotechnology company.
- Learn to communicate complex manufacturing processes in a clear, visually engaging way.
- Collaborate with professionals in communications, branding, and manufacturing.
- Build a portfolio that demonstrates video storytelling in a corporate and scientific context.
- Assist in conceptualizing, filming, and editing video content focused on Amgen’s manufacturing story.
- Capture footage of people, facilities, and processes at the Thousand Oaks headquarters.
- Support production of short‑ and long‑form videos for internal and external channels.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure accuracy and brand alignment.
- Apply storytelling techniques to translate complex processes into compelling narratives.
- Maintain organized production files, including footage, audio, and graphics.
- Provide on‑set support with lighting, sound, and camera operation as needed.
- 18 years or older.
- Currently enrolled in a full‑time bachelor’s degree program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- One year of study completed prior to the internship.
- Must not be employed at the start of the internship.
- Student located in the United States for the entire duration.
- Undergraduate program in Film/Media Production, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in video production (filming, lighting, sound, editing, post‑production).
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or similar editing software.
- Experience with motion graphics (2D/3D) and AI‑based video enhancement is a plus.
- Portfolio or samples of prior visual storytelling work.
- Strong organizational and project‑management skills, ability to meet deadlines.
- Interest in science, healthcare, or corporate storytelling.
- Familiarity with audio recording and mixing for interviews, podcasts, or live events.
The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $24.70 – $28.30 per hour.
