3 Key Consulting is hiring an Associate Engineer - Packaging Engineering for a consulting engagement with a leading global bio-pharmaceutical company.

• This position reports into the Packaging Engineering group under Combination Product Operations in Thousand Oaks, CA.
• Apply engineering principles to design, qualify, and implement Primary and Secondary Packaging components and systems, including documentation, equipment, and processes.
• Knowledge of packaging systems and material science is essential.
• Requires organizational, project management, technical problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work in teams and adapt to changing environments.

• Support testing and evaluation for selecting packaging materials.
• Familiarity with Material Testing standards and equipment.
• Write test protocols, perform evaluations, and support reports for material and packaging component justification.
• Develop technical specifications, engineering drawings, and artwork templates.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar software for engineering drawings.
• Support line trials and packaging validation activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in pre-commercial and commercial activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Life Sciences.
• 1 to 3 years of packaging/engineering experience;
  Master’s degree with little/no experience considered.

• Independent thinker with teamwork and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Packaging Engineering degree or related experience.
• Problem-solving skills with minimal supervision.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
