Staff Industrial Engineer – Newbury Park, CA

Skyworks, an innovator in high‑performance analog semiconductors, is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join its wafer fabrication team. This role focuses on continuous improvement, capacity modeling, and cross‑functional project leadership to support the strategic goals of the fab.

• Develop capacity models using mathematical modeling to predict short‑ and long‑term capital requirements.
• Lead and implement capital projects that support capacity and new technology needs.
• Perform advanced data analysis with Python, Power
  
  BI, and other tools.
• Drive cost‑saving programs and achieve fiscal targets.
• Maximize constraint tool productivity and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Conduct equipment cost, productivity, and capability analysis; work with vendors to assess and retrofit equipment.
• Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities to enhance equipment utilization.
• Ideate incremental improvements focused on operational efficiency and cost.
• Present analytical findings and project progress to senior management.
• Optimize workstation setup and configuration.

• BS in Industrial Engineering or Systems Engineering; 8+ years in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Master’s 6 or PhD 3 acceptable).
• Proven experience applying industrial engineering concepts in a semiconductor or foundry environment.
• Hands‑on ability to observe, diagnose, and eliminate factory inefficiencies using CI tools such as VSM and SMED.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong project‑management, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Team player with attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.

• Experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Track record of improving fab systems for scheduling and dispatching.

The base pay range is USD $114,400 – $220,200 per year, depending on experience, skills, and location.
