Requisition

Skyworks is looking for a hands‑on technician to join our Newbury Park Equipment Engineering Team supporting the Fab and Final Process areas. Shift - NBP A2 (Week 1-SUMT 5:30pm-5:35am); (Week 2-SUMTW 5:30pm-5:35am)

• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, blueprints, drawings, and operating or repair manuals.
• Performs preventive and routine maintenance and repairs on semiconductor manufacturing equipment following work instructions and manufacturer manuals.
• Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to all production equipment in a specific area.
• Performs electrical/mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro‑mechanical production equipment used in the Fab.
• Performs set‑up, calibration, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Rebuilds and repairs manufacturing equipment as required.
• Performs equipment modifications as directed by Equipment Engineering.
• Works on complex assignments requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations to the Engineering community.
• Opporutnity to participate as a contributing member of the Emergency Response Team.

• HS Diploma with 4 years of experience in a production and/or fast paced environment.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a production and/or faced pace environment.
• Experience with common hand tools as well as various electronic instruments.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, such as pumps during removal and installation.
• Pass a respiratory protection medical surveillance examination (if participating on RTT team or secific toolset).
• Have a depth knowledge, understanding, and support of manufacturing process.
• Be a self‑starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Able to work the overnight and compressed shift.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $33.22 -$58.37 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
