Position: Autism Support Technician (Behavior Tech)

Autism Support Technician (Behavior Tech)

Department: ABA – Behavioral Support

Location: Calabasas, CA

Compensation: $22–$28 per hour, depending on experience & education

Schedule: Part‑time, 15–25+ hours per week. Block schedule options:
Monday‑Friday 3‑8 PM;
Monday‑Friday 3‑6 PM;
Monday‑Friday 5‑8 PM;
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 3‑8 PM.

As a Behavior Technician, you will use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support children and teens in reaching their full potential. You will work one‑on‑one with clients in their home, school, or clinic, focusing on skill development and behavior reduction. You will track progress, encourage independence, and celebrate progress.

  • Work one‑on‑one with kids and teens with autism and other developmental needs.
  • Follow a personalized therapy plan created by the clinical team.
  • Use play, routines, and activities to help clients grow.
  • Track progress by taking notes and recording behaviors.
  • Encourage independence and build everyday life skills.
  • Celebrate every win, big or small.

You will receive thorough training in ABA and ongoing support from a caring, multidisciplinary team.

We make sure every child is unique and tailor therapy to fit each client’s needs, interests, and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (paid or unpaid).
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds, sit, and run as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance.
  • Comfortable commuting 20 miles or 30 minutes to client sessions.
  • Passion for working with children, youth, and young adults with developmental disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in ABA or RBT certification.
  • CPR certification for pediatrics and adults.
  • Experience managing a wide variety of maladaptive behaviors, including non‑compliance, elopement, verbal/physical aggression, and self‑injurious behaviors.
