Research Associate – Peptide Synthesis & Antibody Conjugation
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (Fully Onsite)
OverviewThe Research Associate will play a key role in supporting discovery research by executing peptide synthesis and antibody conjugation workflows. This position is responsible for delivering high‑quality, well‑characterized materials to project teams and ensuring day‑to‑day laboratory readiness for safe and efficient operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile- M.S. degree
- B.S. degree with 2 years of relevant experience
- Solid‑phase synthesis and solid‑phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) experience strongly preferred
- Plan and execute peptide synthesis under minimal supervision
- Perform peptide cleavage and purification using RP‑HPLC
- Conduct antibody conjugation experiments
Analyze and confirm peptide and conjugate identity and purity - Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, and results in the electronic laboratory notebook
- Communicate data, results, and interpretations to the project team
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Perform routine lab housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Adhere to all laboratory safety guidelines, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline
- OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Hands‑on experience with solid‑phase peptide synthesis (SPPS)
- Experience with RP‑HPLC purification
- Familiarity with standard laboratory practices
This is a Contract position based out of Thousand Oaks, CA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr.
