As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Rounds in Thousand Oaks, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating clearly with guests and staff.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or conditions, maintaining detailed and accurate records as required.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and addressing any unauthorized access attempts.
• Support emergency response activities and coordinate with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities when necessary.
• Maintain a professional presence and appearance while interacting with the public, clients, and staff within the retail environment.

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
