About The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our busy Local Land Charges Team, where you will play a key role in delivering a professional and customer-focused service on behalf of the Council. The role will initially involve working across our offices in Kettering, Corby, and Thrapston, before relocating to Haylock House, Kettering. This is a full-time position (37 hours per week) on a two-year fixed-term contract.
Whatwill you be doing?
- Check completeness of search requests to include address, plan and fees.
- Enter data accurately into the Idox TLC system including drawing accurate spatial data.
- Interrogate multiple IT systems, read and interpret documents and plans to identify relevant information for your search response.
- Produce and return search responses within the Council’s published turnaround times.
- Respond to email and telephone enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain the Local Land Charges Register in compliance with the Local Land Charges Act 1975 and Local Land Charges Rules 1977 both textually and spatially.
- Be part of the team involved in the transfer of the register to HM Land Registry to include data cleansing and digitisation within agreed timescales.
You have strong communication skills and experience of working with a range of IT systems, and an analytical approach to work with the ability to interpret maps and documents accurately. You are well organised, able to manage competing priorities, and comfortable working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy. You will be a proactive team player who can also work independently and build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
As the service operates across multiple sites, some flexibility to travel may be required. Previous experience in a Local Land Charges team is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
