Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Role Overview
We're seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with 5+ years of experience to oversee day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for the academy. You'll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, managing budgets, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting: accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close
Prepare accurate financial statements, MIS reports, and budgets for management review
Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (VAT/GST as applicable) and statutory filings
Monitor cash flow, fee collections, and vendor payments
Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and ensure audit readiness
Maintain and improve internal financial controls and accounting processes
Handle payroll processing and reconciliation
Support budgeting and forecasting for academy programmes and operations
Liaise with banks, vendors, and regulatory bodies as required

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA/CMA a plus)
Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in education/training or services industry
Strong knowledge of accounting software (Tally, Quick Books, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Excel
Solid understanding of local tax laws and compliance requirements
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong communication and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
