Greenstone Mine, a leading open-pit gold producer, seeks a Capital Accountant to report to the Controller, Operations. This role requires analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and managing budgets to optimize financial performance within the mining industry. Your analytical prowess will play a crucial role in the financial success of mining operations while ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and track CAPEX across mining projects

• Maintain and capitalize assets under construction

• Validate AFE expenditures against budgets

• Partner to reconcile budgets and forecasts for capital projects

• Prepare monthly accruals and journal entries

Requirements:

• 5+ years in capital or project accounting

• Strong IFRS knowledge, especially for fixed assets

• Hands-on experience with project costing

• Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools

• CPA designation is an asset
