Accounts Receivable and Collections Officer

Use analytical accounts receivable and collections expertise at Lakehead University, supporting accurate invoicing, payment processing, and revenue collection across campus.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Accounts Receivable, this Officer manages non-student receivables and overdue accounts. The work includes reconciliation, financial reporting, and responding to account inquiries. The position also supports payment systems, e-commerce initiatives, and staff supervision.

• Manage invoicing and collections for non-student receivables
• Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up overdue payments
• Prepare monthly reports and year-end receivable listings
• Reconcile payments, deposits, and general ledger entries
• Analyze collection trends and recommend process improvements

• University degree in business, accounting, information systems, or related field
• Knowledge of receivables, invoicing, collections, and reconciliation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and financial systems experience
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
