The City Manager's Office is seeking a dedicated Assistant Coordinator for Cultural Development and Public Art. In this part-time role, you will work alongside artists, community members, and various cultural organizations to enhance the cultural landscape of Thunder Bay. Key responsibilities include coordinating public art projects, assisting cultural events, and maintaining community connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer public art competitions and projects

• Conduct inventory and cataloging of the Public Art Collection

• Assist in developing and updating the Culture Plan

• Create promotional materials for events and online platforms

• Set up community areas during arts events

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in visual arts or cultural planning

• Knowledge of artistic styles and cultural sectors

• Experience with community engagement and administrative tasks

• Strong analytical and project management skills

• Ability to work creatively both independently and in teams
