Salary Range: $40,000.00 To $50,000.00 Annually

Patene Building Supplies Ltd. is a distributor of drywall, steel framing components, insulation, acoustic ceilings, shingles, masonry, commercial roofing and other building materials for the residential and commercial construction industries. We have thirteen (13) branch locations throughout Ontario and Manitoba serving contractor, builder and retail customers.

We are currently seeking a career-minded individual for the position of Customer Service & Order Desk Representative for our Thunder Bay branch.

If you enjoy helping customers, solving problems and working as part of a supportive team, we'd like to hear from you. This position plays an important role in ensuring our customers receive outstanding service while supporting the day-to-day operations of our branch.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional service.
• Receive and process customer orders by phone, email and in person.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability and delivery schedules.
• Prepare quotations and estimates for customers.
• Assist customers in selecting products that best meet their needs and recommend suitable alternatives when appropriate.
• Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse staff and the outside sales team to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Follow up on customer requests and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain accurate customer and order information within the system.
• Contribute to a positive team environment while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

• General knowledge of building materials and their applications is considered an asset.
• 1–2 years of customer service, order desk, inside sales or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to outstanding customer service.
