Position: Occasional Teacher Position – Geraldton

Join Superior-Greenstone District School Board as an Occasional Teacher at Geraldton Composite High School. This role focuses on providing instructional support to absent faculty members.

As part of a new initiative, the Dedicated Occasional Teacher position will provide vital support throughout the  school year. You will help maintain the educational environment by stepping in for absent colleagues and possibly designing lesson plans. Holding a valid Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fill in for teachers during their absence at the school

• Develop lesson plans when assigned to teach

• Attend designated work sites for daily duties

• Handle on-call assignments for emergencies

• Comply with mileage policy when traveling to schools

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate

• Qualifications suitable for occasional teaching

• Access to a reliable vehicle and driver’s license

• Proven attendance record in prior teaching roles

• Understanding of diverse teaching methods
