Position: Support Teaching Staff as Occasional Teacher
Location: Greenstone

Enhance educational flexibility at Geraldton Composite High School as a Dedicated Occasional Teacher with SGDSB. Play a crucial role in supporting absent teachers with lesson execution and classroom management.

This new position focuses on providing coverage for the  school year, ensuring that the learning environment remains uninterrupted. You’ll step in for teachers when they are unavailable and may be asked to prepare lesson plans. A valid Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate is required for applicants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support for absent educators

• Construct lesson plans when necessary

• Report daily to the assigned work location

• Step in for emergency on-call coverage when needed

• Travel between schools per the district's mileage policy

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario College of Teachers' Certificate

• Required teaching qualifications in good standing

• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle access

• Consistent attendance history

• Familiar with curriculum delivery mechanisms
