Position: City Child Care Educator
Become a pivotal part of the City of Thunder Bay as an Early Childhood Educator II. This full-time position is dedicated to fostering children's learning through engaging programs.

As an Early Childhood Educator II, you will oversee activity programs at the Child Care Centre, ensuring that children’s developmental needs are met. This position involves planning educational activities, maintaining a well-organized environment, and participating in community-oriented events.

Your role is vital in creating a supportive atmosphere for children’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and engage in age-appropriate activities

• Design and implement learning programs for holistic development

• Keep Child Care Centre equipped and organized

• Participate in meetings and engage with parents

• Aid in training new staff and students

Requirements:

• Early childhood education diploma or equivalent required

• Knowledge of the Ontario Child Care and Early Years Act

• Strong oral and written communication abilities

• Capability to connect with children and their families

• Certification as an Early Childhood Educator is a plus
