Location: Marathon
Take on the role of Mine Planning Engineer at Hemlo Mining Corp, a key player in Ontario's gold mining industry. This position focuses on safety and strategic production planning.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Production Engineer and work on a rotational shift basis. Your work will involve producing effective mining plans, supporting ventilation tasks, and ensuring safety regulations are optimally met through collaboration with various teams in technical services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop plans for drilling, blasting, and back filling
• Optimize ore recovery through effective mine planning
• Collaborate with geology and operations teams on projects
• Participate in safety audits and compliance checks
• Conduct regular visits to underground operational sites
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• 1–3 years of underground mining experience
• Proficient in ventilation systems and related software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Valid Class G driver’s licence needed
