Position: Student Traffic Assistant at City
Kickstart your engineering career with the City of Thunder Bay as a Student Traffic Assistant. Engage in traffic counting and engineering tasks to improve city infrastructure.

Assisting the Supervisor of Design and Field Engineering, you will participate in traffic data collection and analysis while gaining practical experience. Candidates must be full-time students returning to academic studies after this position. Skills in organization, communication, and accuracy in data entry are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform traffic counting and data analysis

• Help program speed signs and install counters

• Collaborate on traffic data collection efforts

• Analyze traffic issues and suggest improvements

• Complete additional engineering tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Must be a full-time returning student

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

• Capable of working independently

• Valid Ontario Class G driver's license required

• Familiar with MS Word and Excel preferred
