The Opportunity

Intermediate Mechanical Engineer – Energy team
Deliver solutions that power Canada’s energy transition across upstream, downstream, and renewable markets.

Preferred location: BC and AB, but open to all Canadian offices.

• Design mechanical piping and equipment for power generation facilities.
• Prepare mechanical equipment and packaged equipment specifications, data sheets, RFQs, and technical bid evaluations.
• Review mechanical equipment vendor drawings and data.
• Interface with suppliers, clients, other engineering disciplines, and detailers/designers.
• Ensure effective communications with other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare construction/installation scopes of work for mechanical systems.
• Participate in the development of PFDs and P&IDs.
• Perform piping design activities including sizing, pressure drop calculations, stress analysis, and pipe support design.
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.

• University Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6 to 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering design experience within the EPCM environment focused on power generation projects (required).
• Currently licensed skilled engineer (P.Eng, Ing, PE) in the province of practice.
• Experience with in a consulting environment desired.
• Working knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Smart Plant 3D or CADworx.
• Experience using Caesar II or Auto Pipe.
• Experience using Thermoflow.

• AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 – $118,900
• MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800
• NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,900 – $83,800
