Elevate your career with Hemlo Mining Corp. as an Underground Ventilation Specialist. This key role focuses on optimizing ventilation systems to ensure safe and efficient mining operations.
As the technical lead for underground ventilation, you will manage and improve current systems while collaborating with Operations, Technical Services, and other departments. Your expertise in ventilation planning, environmental monitoring, and compliance will be crucial to supporting ongoing mining activities and capital projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage underground mine ventilation systems for safe airflow
• Develop and maintain mine ventilation plans
• Conduct ventilation surveys and monitor environmental performance
• Analyze data to address deficiencies and improve systems
• Design ventilation infrastructure, including fans and ducting
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ underground mining experience in ventilation
• Proficiency in ventilation modelling software
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• P.Eng. designation is a plus
