Lead efforts in Indigenous Relations within the City of Thunder Bay as a Policy Advisor. Enhance cultural understanding and equity in municipal policies and practices.
In the position of Policy & Indigenous Relations Advisor, you will play a critical role in the Community Strategies Division. Your involvement will ensure the integration of Indigenous perspectives into the organization's core functions. This is a chance to contribute to meaningful change and public service within a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advise on policy initiatives and equity strategies
• Support the development of culturally informed practices
• Prepare insights and presentations for leadership
• Conduct assessments on Indigenous relations issues
• Enable clear messaging on policy initiatives
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in a relevant field
• Five years in government or community relations
• Understanding of social justice and Indigenous issues
• Proven track record in strategic development
• Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
Contribute to shaping policies that reflect the values of the Thunder Bay community.
