Primary Care Paramedic

Deliver critical emergency care as a Primary Care Paramedic with the City of Thunder Bay. You'll conduct patient assessments, provide treatment, and ensure safe transport in this dynamic role.

As a Primary Care Paramedic under the supervision of the Superintendent – EMS Operations, you'll respond promptly to emergency calls and report to Central Ambulance Communication Centres as per EMS policies. Your responsibilities include environmental risk assessments, patient triage, and adherence to both Basic and Advanced Life Support Standards mandated by health authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond timely to ambulance calls and communicate with CACC

• Conduct detailed patient assessments and evaluations

• Administer care adhering to BLS and ALS standards

• Document all incidents and ambulance reports accurately

• Maintain and restock medical equipment and vehicles

Requirements:

• Must meet primary care paramedic qualifications

• Valid Ontario Class “F” driver's licence mandatory

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills required

• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Act

• One to two years’ experience as a primary care paramedic preferred
