Speech Language Pathologist Position

Keewaytinook Okimakanak is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist based in Thunder Bay. This role is vital for supporting children in addressing speech and language challenges.

As an SLP, you will provide comprehensive clinical services including assessments, direct interventions, and educational programming for children aged 0-18.

Your role also involves collaboration with community organizations and schools to enhance children's pathways to speech and language development, utilizing both in-person visits and telehealth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical assessments of children's speech and language

• Implement tailored speech interventions per individual needs

• Collaborate with educators and community partners

• Maintain detailed documentation and administrative records

• Support and supervise junior staff providing related services

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology

• In good standing with relevant professional bodies

• Familiarity with First Nation cultural traditions

• Effective interpersonal and decision-making abilities

• Current Criminal Record Check and valid driver’s license
