Equipment Maintenance Technician

Join the City of Thunder Bay as an Equipment Maintenance Technician responsible for the upkeep of our fleet. This role emphasizes regular vehicle cleaning and essential maintenance tasks in a supportive environment.

In this position, you'll be tasked with sanitizing stations and performing critical maintenance tasks for vehicles. Candidates must have secondary school education, a valid driver’s license, and familiarity with basic vehicle operations. This role is vital for ensuring community safety through well-maintained equipment and clean environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly sanitize all contact surfaces in facilities

• Complete urgent vehicle deep cleaning procedures

• Manage cleaning and maintenance of garage areas

• Handle deliveries and inventory restocking duties

• Maintain safety equipment and perform compliance checks

Requirements:

• Successful completion of Secondary School Education

• Proficient in basic maintenance of vehicles

• Valid class “G” Ontario Driver’s License

• Experience with custodial or janitorial responsibilities

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
