Position: Nurse Practitioner Role
Join CMHA Thunder Bay as a part-time Nurse Practitioner, focusing on mental health assessments and medication management. This role ensures compliance with practice standards and advocates for client care.

Reporting to the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Nurse Practitioner will execute initial assessments, prescribe medications, and maintain treatment policies. The position requires collaboration with psychiatrists and primary care providers, ensuring holistic patient support. Adhere to the College of Nurses of Ontario standards while delivering quality mental health care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform initial mental health assessments for clients

• Prescribe and evaluate psychiatric medications

• Order necessary diagnostic tests for patient care

• Collaborate with psychiatrists for optimal treatments

• Maintain precise medical records for all clients

Requirements:

• Master’s in Nursing or related field

• Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario

• Experience with psychiatric medications and disorders

• Good communication and problem-solving skills

• Valid Class “G” driver's license and reliable vehicle
