Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Join Nor West Community Health Centers as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Addiction Medicine in Thunder Bay, Ontario. You will work in a supportive team environment to provide care to vulnerable populations.

As a vital part of the Community Health Centre team, this full-time role focuses on addiction medicine within the Rapid Access Addiction Medicine Clinic and primary care for Managed Alcohol Programs clients. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a multifaceted approach to addiction and community health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide addiction medicine assistance in a clinic setting

• Participate in interdisciplinary team efforts for client care

• Implement primary care solutions for vulnerable populations

• Educate clients on substance use health care

• Monitor and prescribe current addiction medicine practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized institution

• Certificate in Extended Class from College of Nurses of Ontario

• Experience in community health and addiction practices

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Valid driver’s license and vehicle access

Deliver comprehensive addiction medicine and primary health care to improve community health access in Thunder Bay.
